Mann funeral Home, Inc. is a family owned and operated business
since 1955. When my father John (Jack) P. Mann was 14 years old, he got his first official job working for the Craig & Scott Furniture and Funeral Home Located in Canaseraga NY. He worked there until his 18th birthday when he enlisted in the US Army and served in WWII. After Dad's tour he was accepted to the Simmons School of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1952. Dad's first job as a licensed funeral director was at Baird Funeral Home in Dansville NY.
In 1955 Dad purchased the Craig & Scott Funeral Home, starting Mann Funeral Home.
In 1957 Mann Funeral Home moved to it's present Canaseraga location on Pratt St.
In 1972 my father purchased Duryea Funeral Home on N. State St., our present Nunda location.
In 1979 I started learning the funeral business under the guidance of my father. I graduated from Canton ATC becoming a licensed funeral director in 1985.
In 1993 prior to may father's passing I purchased the family business and took over as president and licensed director. My wife Catherine and I now own and operate both Nunda and Canaseraga homes.
We are happy to welcome your family and assist you with honesty, compassion and integrity in your time of need.
